Transition to Fall – 4 Things To Do In Fall and What to Wear

I know, you might think I am crazy. But, I am a planner. Like, we are already planning things well into 2018 and beyond. To help me with my planning, I love my new Lilly Pulitzer planner. This year, I got the larger size and I am obsessed.  My husband and I also share events on Google calendar because he prefers an electronic version.

I feel it is important to also plan your wardrobe to match your activities.  So you guessed it, it’s time to start thinking about Fall. For me, I love being able to reuse pieces in my closet from season to season and Fall is really a perfect time to put that technique to use. Here are 4 things we plan on doing and the outfit I am eyeing for each:

Coon Hollow: The farm, the hay ride, the activities and atmosphere let us know Fall is here. We usually take the family out at least once or twice to enjoy the day. Now when you’re heading to the farm, you’ve got to keep in mind where you’ll be walking. Not to mention what activities there are that may make it appropriate for jeans verse a dress. My go-to this year will probably be the Stay Cozy Sweatshirt.

The blush color is on trend, serves as a soft yet light layer, and looks amazing for a weekend look paired with your favorite distressed jean, converse, or boot.

Pumpkin Spice Lattes with my Ladies: I think Starbucks may put a little bit of crack in their pumpkin spice latte because I jones for that almost all year round. So when Fall comes around, I love meeting up with my girls, sipping pumpkin spice lattes and shopping or just chatting and taking a much deserved break from the kiddos. This is a perfect time for a dress and my current seasonal favorite is the Sage Embroidered Dress. This garment pairs well with your favorite riding boots or bootie.

Pumpkin Patch Pictures: One of our family traditions is to go to the local pumpkin patch to take pictures with the family. Our kiddos have got a twinge of red hair and it makes for awesome pictures. Then the orange pumpkins are actually a great background to match fall colors against. Our Ruffle Me Up Top will be a showstopper with our Wild Thoughts Olive Embroidered Vest thrown over it with distressed jeans and booties.

Football, duh: Football is kind of a way of life here in Gainesville. So when it comes time to tail gate, you know we are there – and by we are there, I mean we are there around the kids nap schedule of course. There really is nothing like game days in the fall. There are so many ways to go when it comes time to get dressed for tail gates. This year we have a new Game Day shop on the website!
